Bill Mitchener, the founding principal of Mitchener Properties, offers extensive experience, wisdom, and practicality in commercial real estate development.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Business Administration, Bill began his career as a Certified Public Accountant before shifting focus to commercial real estate development. During his development career, Bill has participated in numerous projects across the Carolinas, Virginia, Maryland, and Florida. Tenants have included major retailers, restaurants, and service providers such as Eckerd, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Advance Auto Parts, Food Lion, Arby’s, Chipotle, Aspen Dental, Take Five, Popeyes, Sheetz, Texas Roadhouse, and Harris Teeter.
As the managing partner of Mitchener Properties, LLC, Bill continues in his pursuit of single-tenant properties and retail shopping centers, overseeing all aspects of the development process, from entitlements to construction to sale.

Amber Gaffney
Amber Gaffney joined Mitchener Properties in early 2022 to aid in financial analysis and business support. Amber earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University, majoring in both Accounting and Economics. Previously, she had a successful career in Corporate Finance at Bank of America, including roles responsible for forecasting the bank’s $2T balance sheet. Additionally, Amber earned her CPA license early in her career. She brings a wealth of knowledge around financial analytics and is detail oriented. Amber is excited to be part of the Mitchener Properties Team.
